Obituary

John “Paul” Rosie, a retired salesman, of Medford and Merritt Island, Florida, died Sunday May 15th, 2005 at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge. He was 87.


A life long resident of Medford, he was the son of the late Thomas and Beatrice Rosie of West Medford. Paul served during World War II with the United States Army Air Force. He was a member of Medford’s American Legion post 45 and VFW Post 1012.


He was the beloved husband of “Terry” Margaret (Darcy) with whom he shared 53 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Peg Gilleo and her husband Dan of Medford, Paul and his wife Susan of Arlington, Robert and his wife Carole of Seabrook, NH, Maura Rosie of OR, Kathleen Rosie of Medford, Neil and his wife Karla of Melrose, Betty Chandler and her husband Bill of Natick. He was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren. He was a dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.


A memorial mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, Friday May 27 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Medford WW II Monument Committee, Medford City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Drive, Medford, MA 02155.
