Evans – Mrs. Renee McBurney, loving wife, mother and friend, entered into eternal rest with her Savior on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 25, 2015 at Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Pastor Bert Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
Mrs. McBurney, a resident of Evans, Georgia, loved raising toy poodles and fishing. She graduated from Glenn Hills High School and went on to earn her Bachelors of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University. She was an Instructional Systems Specialist and supervisor at the Signal Corp at Fort Gordon, now called the Army Cyber Center of Excellence. She retired from there after 32 years of service.
She is survived by her husband; Franklin McBurney, her children; Thea Barry (Jeramy) and Kyle Carmichael, her step children; Serenity McBurney and Braydon McBurney, a brother; Ernie Bahm (Shari Johnson) and her grandchildren; Nola, Olive and Adah. She was preceded in death by her parents; Dallas and Ethel Bahm and a sister; Ellamae Bahm.
