She is survived by her husband Warren, son Jeff and his wife Kate and their daughter Avery. She is also survived by her brother Jerome LeBlanc, her sister Cecilia Hales, niece Melissa Gray, and many other relatives, including Joan, Linda, Lucy, Shirley, Mary, Alan, and Khrystal.

Virginia was born and raised in Waltham, MA, before moving to Ledyard, CT, in 1986. Virginia and her husband Warren met in 1970 when they were just 16 years old. Their first date was to the Boston Garden to see Black Sabbath. They were married in 1973 and spent 47 wonderful years together as best friends and partners.

Virginia was kind, loving, and took pleasure in the simple things in life. She enjoyed traveling throughout New England and spending time at her second home in Down East Maine, where she would walk and hike the coast. She also enjoyed going to the movies and dining out.

Virginia was most proud of her family and loved dearly her 3 year old granddaughter Avery, who will be reminded of her grandmother often and will help to preserve her memory. She was lifelong friends with Lisa Morrell and godmother to her daughter, Dena.

Virginia was a long time employee of Colonial Cooperative Care in Norwich, CT, where she had many great friends and co-workers, including Michelle, Stacy, Tammy and Nicole.

She was predeceased by her father Patrick LeBlanc, her mother Florence Ducette LeBlanc, and her brother, Louie.

In her passing, she showed what a true hero acts like when confronted with an impossible situation. Virginia was so grateful to her team of doctors and nurses at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT, and acted with dignity and grace. She will be missed immensely until her family and friends see her again.
