Obituary

Stephen F. Cogliano, 65, of Dartmouth died September 21, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Barbara A. (Bouchard) Cogliano.
Born in Ware, MA, the son of the late Francis and Sylvia L. (Medici) Cogliano, he lived in Dartmouth most of his life.
Mr. Cogliano was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
He was formerly employed as a special needs teacher at Normandin Middle School for many years until his retirement.
Mr. Cogliano enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dawn S. Camille and her husband Kevin of Fairhaven; a brother, Ronald Cogliano and his wife Barbara of Kingsport, TN; proud Papa of his 2 grandchildren, Harrison and Kaden; and aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Gary Cogliano.
His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 30th at 10 AM in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, September 29th from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the National Shrine of St. Jude, 3200 E 91st St., Chicago, IL 60617 or to Mercy Meals and More, P.O. Box 40515 New Bedford, MA 02744.
