Edward C. Molina, 81 of Ventura, passed away on Sunday September 20, 2015 at his home with his beloved wife at his side.
Ed was born May 2, 1934 in Ventura and was a lifelong county resident. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. Ed worked for the U.S. Post Office for 35 years serving as Postmaster.
He enjoyed playing golf and BarB-Q-ing with his family. Ed played basketball at Ventura College and he coached his sons and grandsons in Baseball and Basketball.
Ed enjoyed being involved with his family and family events and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Beatrice Molina; sons Jim Molina and his wife Cheryl of Ventura, David Molina and his wife Audra of Reno, Jared Ochoa and his wife Sandy of Oxnard; Daughter JoAnn Elizando of Ventura; Sister Dora Magana and her husband Bob;Brothers Sammy Molina, Alfred Molina and his wife Sharon, Billy Molina and his wife Christina; grandchildren Vanessa, Laurie, Sarah, James, Bryce, Zachary, Payton, and Delaney; Great-grandchildren Lydia, Leah, Donovan, Morgyn, Dakota, Brenden, Evan and Luke.
He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Louise Molina, brothers Benny Molina, Leonard Molina, Frank Molina, Gregory Molina, and Richard Molina.
A Most Holy Rosary will be recited on Thursday September 24, 2015 at 6:00p.m. in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10a.m. Friday September 25, 2015 in San Buenaventura Mission, 211 Main Street Ventura. Interment will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
Ed was entrusted to the care of the family owned JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME, 757 E. Main Street Ventura 643-8623, friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00p.m. to 8:00p.m.
