Beverly May "Sam" (Adams) Michaud, 83, passed away on September 15, 2015 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. P. Michaud, the love of her life.
She was an excellent fish cutter by trade, and a great friend to the people she worked with. She gave shelter and comfort to many people in her life. She always had time to listen to anyone's troubles. She was a volunteer for hospice and held many a hand that had no family. She had a great sense of humor and zest for life.
Beverly was the daughter of the late Annie (Batacao) Adams and Walter C. Adams. She was predeceased by her two oldest sons, Donald B. Cardoza and Michael A. Cardoza, and her siblings, Shirley Achorn and Donald Adams.
Her surviving children are Thomas Hughes, Timothy Hughes, Patrick Hughes, Rosemary "Judy" L'Etoile,and Kathy Ann Duarte. She had 18 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be on Friday September 25, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
