Roland "Buddy" Henry Bolduc, 92, died on Thursday, Sept 17, 2015 at the New Hampshire Veterans Home.
He was born in Lakeport, NH on June 7, 1923, second child of Charles and Aurore Bolduc. He was one of 14 children. He attended Sacred Heart School in Laconia and worked the Bolduc family farm all his life. The farm continues to exist today in Gilford, NH. He was a lifelong resident of the Lakes Region area.
Buddy served in the Army under General Patton in Germany during World War II. After return from the war he and his brother Charles (Sam) ran Bolduc’s Construction for many years. They built numerous homes throughout the Lakes Region. Buddy enjoyed helping people, doing so most of the time for only a “Thank you.”
He dearly loved his mother and family. He was very religious and constructed The Immaculate Conception Church for his family, sitting proudly across from the Bolduc farm, offering Latin Masses.
He is survived by his children: Susan Rostom of Florida; Nancy Farr of Florida; Thomas Bolduc of Florida; Sandra Froman of NH; Rickey Bolduc of Florida and Steve Bolduc of NH, stepson: Alfred Fecteau of NH. He is survived by four brothers: Maurice, Ernest, Armand and Robert and three sisters: Anita McKeown, Lauretta Seabeck, and Helen Gaudet. He is survived by nineteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wives: Therese Campbell Bolduc, Jeannette Fecteau Bolduc, and his son Michael. In addition to his parents,he is predeceased by three brothers: Kenneth, Charles (Sam) and Hector Bolduc, and by two sisters Theresa Tracy and Barbara Colby.
Calling hours will be held on Friday September 25, 2015 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St, Laconia, using the carriage house entrance.
Services will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at 10:00AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 500 Morrill Street, Gilford, NH for a Requiem Mass.
Burial will follow immediately after at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Garfield St, Laconia.
