Joseph “Joey C” Cardello of Medford passed away on September 17th.
The beloved husband of Roberta “Bobbi” (Visconti) Cardello, he was a devoted father of Joseph Cardello and his wife Michelle of CT, Roberta Kemper of ME and Mark Kemper. He was a loving grandfather to Augustus, Isabella, Christopher, Jennie, Jamie and Brett. The dear brother of Rose McCann and her husband Robert, Millie Cardello-Pretti and her husband David and the late Jerry Cardello, he was the son of the late Dominic and Jennie Cardello and also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Joey was a graduate of the Berklee College of Music, Class of 1966 and attended the Boston Conservatory of Music. He was the founder, band leader and pianist of the Joey “C” Quartet, entertaining the greater Boston area for 54 years. He was the former Director of Music at Watertown High School, Master of the Friendship Lodge, Wilmington and was an entrepreneur.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday, September 21, at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit on Sunday 4 – 8 PM.
