Gerard E. “Jerry” Moison, Jr., 53, of Woonsocket died Saturday at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Jerry was the loving husband of Anne-Marie (Desfosses) Moison. They were married on April 24, 2004.
Born in Woonsocket he was a son of Catherine (Derderian) Moison of Woonsocket and the late Gerard E. Moison, Sr. He was a lifelong resident of Woonsocket and a graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Mr. Moison served in the United States Marine Corps.
Jerry was employed by the City of Woonsocket Water Department for over 25 years.
Jerry enjoyed fishing and family vacations. Time spent with those he loved was truly important to him.
In addition to his wife and mother Jerry is survived by two sons Eric Moison and Jared Roy both of Woonsocket, two daughters Jenna Moison of Manville and Alysha Roy of Woonsocket and two grandchildren Gabriel Canestrari and Elianna Hernandez. He was the brother of John and Michael Moison both of Woonsocket and Carol Motta of Coventry, uncle of Matthew Radican and son-in-law of Paul and Leona Desfosses of Woonsocket.
Visiting hours will be Wednesday from 3-7 pm in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. A prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Burial will be private.
