Gregory Jenkins Bryant, 50, of Fitzgerald, died Sunday, September 13, 2015, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Faith Baptist Church in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Cecil Burkett, Pastor Larry Davis, and David Sumner officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
Gregory was born December 1, 1964 in Fitzgerald, Georgia, to Eulace Bryant and Rozannah Ellington Bryant. He worked as a land surveyor with Hampton & Associates, Ash Surveying, and Royal Surveyors. He loved watching NASCAR and attending races to cheer on his favorite driver, Tony Stewart. An avid outdoorsman, Gregory enjoyed hunting and fishing and was known for his barbecuing skills, especially his ribs. He was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, SrA Gregory Luke Bryant, USAF of Hurlburt Field, Florida; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Grace Bryant; his father, Eulace Bryant of Ocilla; his mother, Rozannah Bryant of Fitzgerald; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Joey & Tami Bryant of Fitzgerald and Kevin & Alison Bryant of Dublin; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Homer & Betty Bryant and H. R. & Eunice Ellington.
