James M. Colvin

James M. Colvin, 71, of Anderson died September 11, 2015 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital.
He was born on April 28, 1944 in Anderson, the son of William and Anna (Pine) Colvin. He served in the US Army. He worked as a truck driver for 35 years, traveling in all 50 states during his years of road trucking. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing and bowling.
He married the love of his life , Juanita (Kemper, Clay) Colvin on July 12, 1968. After a courageous battle with cancer, Juanita went to be with her family and Jesus on April 25, 2014.
Jim had a very special love for his step children and thought of them as his own; Edwina Cook (husband Doug) of Middletown, Alan Clay (wife Cindi) of Pendleton, Vickie Rogers of Muncie and Ruth Anderson of Illinois. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; his brother in laws, Paul Kemper of Anderson, Riley Kemper (wife Theresa) of Arkansas, and sister in law, Nettie Simpson of Illinois.
Jim loved and cherished his parents, in laws, Eveline and Edward, brother, Ronald, and sister, Cheryl, who preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 11 AM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Chris Mishler. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 10 - 11 AM on Tuesday .
