Scaramuzzo, Joseph M., 87, of West Yarmouth, passed away on Saturday September 12th, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Mildred (O’Brien) Scaramuzzo. Loving Father of Joseph M. Scaramuzzo and Pamela Phifer of Loveland, CO, Jean Marie Wackrow and her husband Ronald W. of West Yarmouth, and the late John Crowe, and his wife Sussanne Crowe of Cloverdale OR. Grandfather to Jonathan Wackrow, Joseph Crowe, Thomas Wackrow, Danielle Scaramuzzo, and Paul Wackrow. Proud Great Grandfather of Logan, Hunter, Carter, Taelin, and Taylor. Loving brother of Lucy Giannetti of Marshfield, Grace Doherty of Hyannis, and the late Samuel, and John Scaramuzzo.
A native of Roslindale, Joe went directly into the US Army after school and was honorably discharged in May 1947. He worked for many years for Capitol Supermarkets and MJ Malloy Company before retiring to Yarmouth in 1997. Joe and Millie enjoyed traveling and a favorite destination was Disney World. They made many trips to visit their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren around the country. He enjoyed visiting many nieces and nephews and his sisters on cape. Joe spent the last 14 years working for Bayside Electric. He made many friends on the cape and will be greatly missed. In his final days he was visited and surrounded by his good friends and family.

Funeral from the Morris O’Connor and Blute Funeral Home, 58 Long Pond Drive, South Yarmouth on Thursday September 17, at 8:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church, 347 South St. Hyannis at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hour in the funeral home on Thursday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 AM.
Interment Mass. National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:15 AM.
