Rita M. (Mauer) Bellar, 90, Chesterfield, died September 9, 2015 at Bethany Pointe after a brief illness.
She was born in Dunkirk, IN, September 23, 1924 to Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Mulvihill) Mauer.
She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband's business, Chesterfield Tool & Die and a member of Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
She was a board member of Victoria Guild. She loved to attend sporting events for her grandchildren. She was an avid Pacers, Colts, Indiana basketball and Notre Dame football fan.
Survivors include her three children, Douglas (Kim) Bellar of Alexandria; Renee (John) Campbell of Indianapolis; Julie (Mike) Weis of Dallas, TX; brother, Martin (Karene) Mauer of Tucson, AZ; eight grandchildren, David & Jenny Weis; Meaghan & Shannon Edmonds; Andy Weis; Kelly Campbell; Katie Campbell; Annie Campbell (Tony Rohas); Courtney & Chris Kostka and Adam Bellar; nine great grandchildren, Roary Weis; Caden Weis; Noah Kostka; Micah Kostka; Hannah Kostka; Thomas Edmonds; Mary Kate Edmonds; Sarah Jane Edmonds and John Edmonds; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, husband Donald M. Bellar; two sisters, Katherine Landon and Margaret Maurer.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Friday at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Anderson with Msgr. Robert L. Sell, III officiating. Burial will be in Bronnenberg Cemetery in Chesterfield.
Visitation will be Friday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Saint Mary's Catholic Church.
