Paul A. Blanchard, 73, of Mattapoisett died May 20, 2005 at home after a long illness.
He was the husband of Mary S. (Egan) Blanchard.
Born in Cambridge, MA, the son of the late Paul J. and Jennie (Pespisa) Blanchard, he lived in Concord, MA for 40 years before retiring to Palm Beach, FL and Mattapoisett.
Mr. Blanchard was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church in Mattapoisett.
He was formerly employed as Director of Physical Plant at Daniel Webster College before retiring in 1994. He also was Director of Physical Plant at Lesley College, Emmanuel College, and Brandeis University.
Mr. Blanchard was a member and past president of the Woburn Sportsman Club. He was an avid fly fisherman.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Michael Blanchard and his wife Sheri of Hull, MA; 3 daughters, Paula Blanchard, and Stephanie Tilton, of Littleton, MA, Suzanne Schmidt and her husband Danny of Pepperell, MA, Jennifer Berry and her husband Patrick of South Boston; and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett Wednesday, May 25th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Anthony's Church at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Tuesday, May 24th from 5-9 PM.
Interment private.
