Borghild N. (Johnsen) Skeans, 96, of Medway died Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the Blackstone Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Edward Skeans who died in 1970.
Born in Boston on March 26, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Bernhadine Johnsen.
Mrs. Skeans was a resident of Medway since 1960 and was a homemaker for most of her life.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and playing bingo.
She is survived by two daughters, Diane Clark of Woonsocket and Linda Jones of Upton and was the mother of the late Charles Skeans.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was the mother-in-law of the late Norman Clark and David Jones and sister of the late Margot Allen and Johan Johnsen.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, September 10 at 1 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com). Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Medway.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
