Obituary

Trudi Anne Miller, 77, of Dartmouth passed away suddenly at home on Thursday September 3, 2015.
Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Ozak) Amaral.
Trudi was formerly employed as a school teacher in the New Bedford School Department, having taught at the Pulaski, Ashley, Dunbar, and Gomes Schools, until her retirement.
She was also active as an accomplished actress, writer, and director at numerous Theater/Performing Arts Companies across New England, including Your Theater and The Zeiterion Theater in New Bedford, The Trinity Repertory Company, The Newport Playhouse, Courthouse and Firehouse Theaters, all in Rhode Island. She had performed in two movies, Passionada (2002), which was filmed in New Bedford, and Fastball (circa 2000). She had a beautiful singing voice, and had been involved in various church choirs throughout the area, including St. Julie Billiart Church in Dartmouth and St. Hedwig Church and Sacred Heart Church, both in New Bedford.
Trudi was a graduate of Salve Regina College.
She was an active member of the St. Stanislaus Parish Ladies Guild in Fall River.
In addition to being a beloved mother and grandmother, she was a dear friend, mentor, and confidante to all who knew her.
She is survived by her son, David M. Miller and his wife Kristan, and grandchildren, Jacob and Amanda, all of Fairhaven.
Her Memorial Service will be held on Friday September 11, 2015 at 7 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM prior to the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please make a donation in Trudi's name to your local Theater/Performing Arts Company.
