Edith Clara Dubie
Edith Clara Dubie, 101, formerly of 38 Belvedere Street died on Friday morning, May 20, 2005 at the St. Francis Health Care Center in Laconia.
Edith was the daughter of the late John L. and Melanie (Plant) Dubie. She was born in Laconia on April 29, 1904, she was raised and schooled in Laconia. Edith lived in Laconia for all of her life.
Prior to her retirement she was employed at the former Morin Hosiery Mill as a winder for 25 years and then at the Wood Mills Hosiery for 50 years retiring in 1973.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Lakes Church in Lakeport. As an active, and the oldest living member she worked at the New and Used Shop at the church as well as making many craft items for the annual church Christmas fair.
She was predeceased by her sister, Georgianna M. Dubie in 2003. She is survived by her dear friends Harold and Theresa Kelleher of Laconia, and James and Constance Welch of Plymouth, as well as many other friends in Laconia and many cousins in Canada.
A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Monday May 23, 2005 at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 50 Washington Street, Lakeport, NH at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Laconia, NH A calling hour preceded the mass from 10:00 am-11:00 am at the Simoneau & Lambert Funeral Home, 139 Church Street, Laconia, NH
