Obituary

NATICK: Floyd B. Corliss, Sr., 86, died peacefully surrounded by his loving children on Thursday, September 3, 2015 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Waitsfield, Vermont on July 11, 1929 the son of the late Herbert Corliss and Ethel (Dennis) Corliss.
He is survived by his devotee children Cynthia A. Seder of Natick; Vicki M. Corliss of Marlborough; Mark K. Corliss of Blackstone and the late Floyd B. Corliss, Jr. who died in 2008. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Alice (Cooke) Corliss who died in 1995. Brother of the late Norman Corliss and Mildred Corliss Drinkwater. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Floyd has resided in Natick for over 60 years and previously in Vermont. He served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Army. He was a member of the Natick AMVets and the VFW Charles Alward Post 6260 of Wayland. For many years, he was associated with Sage Laboratories at Tech Circle in Natick as an electrical engineer. He was also the owner of Corliss Motors in Concord and was the owner of his own commercial restaurant cleaning business. He was an accomplished musician and played acoustic guitar and keyboard with the Gentleman Four in the metrowest area. He enjoyed gardening at his residence in Natick and was dedicated to his family.
Visitations will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 10:00 am at the family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
