Irma E. Webster, age 92, a longtime Natick resident, died on Tuesday morning, September 1, 2015, at Epoch Senior Healthcare of Weston. She was the wife of the late James H. Webster.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Sullivan) Noyes. Irma was raised in Natick and after graduating from Natick High School went to work at Dennison Manufacturing company.
Irma and James married in 1948 and made their home in Ashland, where Irma enjoyed creating a warm and loving environment for their growing family. Widowed in 1969, she returned to the workforce at the information desk at Framingham Union Hospital until her retirement in 1988. She continued working with her friends at Framingham Union as a volunteer until she was 86.
She cherished the time spent her family, especially her grandchildren’s school and sporting events.
She is survived by five daughters, Jane Phipps and husband Robert of Ashland, Judith Sherlock and husband David of Foxborough, Ellen Leiter and husband Andrew of Wellesley, Kathleen Finkelstein and husband Alan of Medway, Cynthia Chaisson and husband Leo of Holliston; 9 grandchildren, James, Maura and husband Brad,
Julie and husband Tye, Emily and husband Adam, Daniel, Alexandra, Angela, Alison and Leo; and 6 great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Leighton, Lylah, David, Matthew, and Sullivan. She is also survived by her sister in law Winifred Hayes and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Alberta Noyes, Phyllis Curran, and Marjorie Curran.
A heartfelt thank-you to the entire staff of the Epoch Center in Weston for the exceptional care and compassion given to Irma and her family during her stay at their facility.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Irma’s Funeral Service on Friday September 4, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home 4 Park Street, at Natick Common. Burial will follow in St Patrick Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Friday morning beginning at 11:00 A.M. prior to the service.
