Obituary

Lan Phuong Czulewicz, of Wellesley, transcended in the early hours of Sunday August 30th, 2015. Devoted wife to Stanley A. Czulewicz and mother to Monique D. Czulewicz and Jocelyn N. Czulewicz. Loving sister to Thanh Duc Nguyen of Quincy, MA, Trang-Huong Duc Nguyen of  Houston, TX, Thanh Huong Hillaker of Houston, TX, and Thuan Duc Nguyen of Dorchester, MA.

Born in Vietnam, she moved to the United States in 1972 after meeting her match, Stanley, during his tour in the Vietnam War.  Lani achieved every goal, exceeded all expectations, and surpassed all limitations in both business and family. She independently initiated and organized 11 relatives in their immigration from Vietnam, up to and including establishing their new lives in the United States. She ran her own business for over 30 years, and provided for two beautiful children with a Wellesley education which was extremely important to her.

Relatives and friends are kindly welcome to attend visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. Wellesley, Wednesday, September 2nd, 4:30-8pm.  The traditional Buddhist cremation ceremony will be held on Friday, September 4th at The Newton Cemetery Chapel, 791 Walnut St. Newton Center, from 12 to 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Universal Buddhist Congregation 81 Marion St, Boston, MA 02128.
