EAST TAUNTON - Kevin M. Chaves, husband of the late Kathy A. (Lizotte) Chaves, died at his East Taunton home on Aug. 28, 2015.
He was 51.
He was the son of Antone Chaves of Florida and Marie (Repoza) Spitaleri of East Taunton; and the stepson of Connie Chaves of Florida.
Born, raised and educated in the Taunton area, he was a 1983 graduate of Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School.
A communicant of East Taunton’s Holy Family Church, Kevin was employed by G.B. & Sons of Raynham as a heavy equipment operator.
An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and taxidermy.
In addition to his parents, he leaves two sons, Seth Chaves and his wife Tanya of Taunton, and Adam Chaves of East Taunton; two brothers, Ronald Repoza and his wife Carol of East Taunton, and Steven Chaves of Berkley; four sisters, Linda Goodman and her husband Bert of ME, Janet Garland and her husband Sean of AL, Sandra Poole of ME, and Kathleen Chaves of Taunton; a grandson, Wyatt; his maternal grandmother, Ricarda Repoza of E. Taunton; and several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be held from Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Thursday, Sept. 3rd at 8:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at Cedar Knoll Cemetery, East Taunton.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd from 5 to 8 p.m.
