Carl Leonard Swindell, 96, formerly of Alexandria, died August 28, 2015 at Community Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born October 12, 1918 in Boone Township, Indiana to Delbert and Myrtle (Stephenson) Swindell.
He was a farmer and owner of Swindell Farm Supply, Inc., loved Elk hunting in Wyoming.
He is survived by his sons, Paul (Sandy) Swindell and Ron (Marsha) Swindell; five grandsons, Michael; Patrick; Trent (Shawn); Tyler (Trish); Troy (Angie); six great-grandchildren, Luke; Joshua; Dustin; Bradin; Dylan and Dani; three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jean (Wollen) Swindell, a grandson, Todd sister, Norma Swindell and brother-in-law, Frank McClead.
Services will be 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Bill Mathys officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to Frankton Methodist Church.
