Obituary

Jeannette M. (St. Pierre) Maurice, 96 of Salem, died Monday, August 24, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Rodney F. Maurice.

Born and raised in Salem she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Beatrice (Deschene) St. Pierre. As a young woman Jeannette first worked for the former CBS Hytron and later for Sylvania in Danvers. Most of her life she worked as a waitress for her sister’s and brother-in-law’s Collins Café in Peabody and for her youngest sister’s Terry’s Coffee Shop in Salem.

One of nineteen siblings, it goes without saying that Jeannette was very devoted and involved in her enormous family’s lives.

She is survived by her son, Rodney A. Maurice of Salem, her granddaughter, Heather Klosowski and her husband Andy of Groveland, her four great-grandchildren, Jak, Benjamin, Andrew and Katie Klosowski, her brother Richard ‘Jimmy’ St. Pierre and his wife Anne Marie of Salem, her sister, Theresa ‘Terry’ St. Pierre and her companion Ellie Knowles both of Ipswich. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Alice Viselli, Anita Collins, Beatrice St. Pierre, Louise Rosetti, Lucienne Dupuis, Eva Castronova, Cecile Fournier & Rose Ouellette, her brothers, Leo, Roger, Albert, Arthur, Robert, Roland, Rene & Raymond St. Pierre.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visiting hours on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Her funeral will be on Friday, August 28th at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home to be followed by her funeral mass in Ste. Anne Church, 290 Jefferson Ave, Salem at 10:00 A.M.
