Obituary

Dr. Edward T. Cauley - Of Ipswich, Naples, FL, formerly of Needham, 73, retired prominent orthodontist, died, on return trip from Florida, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on May 13. Born in Boston, to parents Edward Thomas Cauley and Alma M. Cauley (McKenna) of Brookline, on August 22, 1931. Dr. Cauley is survived by his loving wife Mary Gail (Sullivan), his five children; Catherine M. Jamieson and her husband Scott of Natick, Janet A. Soares and her husband John of Topsfield, Patricia J. Campbell and her husband Thomas of Greensboro, NC, Carolyn A. Rotermund and her husband Christopher of Madison, CT, and Edward T. Cauley and his wife Tracy of Nahant, and sisters Margaret E. Shannon and Alma M. Fredey, both of Needham. Dr. Edward T. Cauley is also survived by eleven grandchildren; Patrick, Christopher, Michael and Daniel Jamieson, Errin and Carlyn Gail Soares, Victoria and Timothy Rotermund, Kelly, Thomas and McKenzie Campbell.

Dr. Cauley was a graduate of Boston College, Tufts Dental School and the University of Pennsylvania School of Orthodontics. He was past president of the Northeastern Dental Association and the Needham Pool and Racquet Club. Dr. Cauley also served on the Board of Directors for the Wyndemere Country Club in Naples, FL for the past 3 years, as well as various committees at Ipswich Country Club. He was a golf and tennis enthusiast.

Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 1305 Highland Ave. (exit 19B off Rt. 128) NEEDHAM, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph's Church Needham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery Needham.
