Salem - Mr. Walter George Schukert Jr. 35, of Forrester Street, Salem, a financial sales manager, husband of Dana Lynn (Ujhely) Schukert, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 in Salem Hospital.
Born in Akron, OH, May 3, 1970, son of Walter G. Schukert Sr. of Mustang, OK and Marian (Lonkert) Schukert of Oklahoma City, OK, he received his education in Oklahoma and earned his degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK, class of 1996.
Walter had been employed for nine years as a financial sales manager for M.F.S. Investment Management in Boston, where he had earned several awards and was very successful with his work.
A resident of the City of Salem for the past eight years, he was a communicant of the Immaculate Conception Church in Salem. He was a member of Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).
Wally held a private pilot’s license and was an avid flyer in college. An outdoorsman, he enjoyed target shooting as well as camping and hiking with his family. He was also an avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed baseball, hockey and football.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a son, Ethan Schukert of Salem, a brother, Michael Schukert of Oklahoma City, OK, his maternal grandmother, Pearl Lonkert of Liverpool, OH, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard J. Sr. and Arlene M. Ujhely of Boxford, a brother-in-law, Richard J. Jr. and his wife, Deirdre Finn Ujhely of Hoboken, NJ.
Walter’s funeral will be held from the Full-Spychalski Funeral Home, 84 Washington Sq., East (at Salem Common) Salem, Friday at 9 AM, followed by a funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Salem at 10 AM. Relatives & friends invited. Burial in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Boxford. Visiting hours Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.
