Bridgewater. Brother of Burpee F. Slauenwhite of Weymouth, Frank Slauenwhite of Winchester, Muriel Roe of Weymouth and Florida and the late Alfred Slauenwhite. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday at 10:30 am. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45 pm. Visiting hours Wednesday 3-8 pm. Donations in memory of Blake may be made to the American Lung Assoc. of South Eastern MA, 1 Abby Lane, Middleboro, MA 02346.
Obituary
Mr. Slauenwhite died Sunday at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, son of the late Frank H. and Muriel (Manthorne) Slauenwhite. During WW II he served in the US Marines, 2nd Division. He had worked as a plant supervisor for the former Tech Engineering for 23 years and for Hi-Vac retiring in the early 1980’s and had also worked part-time for Jordon Engineering in Brockton. He was a member of the VFW Post 697 in Whitman and the Bertocci Club in Brockton. Vice President of Matfield Woods Residents Association of West Bridgewater. He was an avid card player and loved working with wood and often would be found building a unique piece of furniture.
He is survived by his wife, Trudie (MacNeill) Slauenwhite, a daughter Louise A. Gallagher of Brockton and a son, Blake C. Slauenwhite of W. Bridgewater, four grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two brothers, Burpee F. Slauenwhite of Weymouth, Frank Slauenwhite of Winchester and a sister Muriel Roe of Weymouth and Florida and many nieces and nephews
