Dorothy M. Faxon, 87, of Derry, NH, died Sunday, May 8, 2005 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. Mrs. Faxon was born in Henniker, NH on August 17, 1917, a daughter of the late W. Herbert and Maude G. (Moody) Rand. She was a resident of Derry for over 35 years, formerly living in Manchester, NH. She was a graduate of Cogswell Memorial Highschool in Henniker, Class of 1936. She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church in E. Derry. She had worked at Birchwood Nursing Home in Derry, providing a ministry for the residents. She was the founder of the Sunshine Committee for the Senior Saints in Derry and was the Chaplin of the AARP, Derry Chapter.
Besides her family at Calvary Bible Church, she leaves one niece, two nephews, a grandniece and grandnephews. She was predeceased by her husband Harold W. Faxon who died in 1994 and her first husband Frank "Butch" L'Etoile who died in 1968.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 12th at 1:00pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. The burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery in E. Derry.
