Helen E. (Bjorklund) Suklis, 88, of King Philip Road, Worcester, died Saturday, May 7, 2005, in Knollwood Nursing Home.
She leaves her husband, Albert C. Suklis; a son, John R. Allen of Arlington; a sister, Violet V. Hanks of Auburn; a brother, Edward and his wife Dorothy Bjorklund of Holden; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves Kathleen Allen and two granddaughters, Tracy and Maribeth Allen all of Belmont. Her first husband, John F. Allen, died in 1949. Helen was a graduate of Commerce High School and was a Secretary/Receptionist for The Norton Company and Warner Swasey for 35 years retiring in 1976. She was a Life Member of Salem Covenant Church, a former Sunday school teacher, a member and past president of its Covenant Women's Group, and sang with the Senior Choir for 50 years.
Calling hours will be Tuesday 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon in Salem Covenant Church, 215 E. Mountain Street, Worcester. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Salem Covenant Church.
