Robert J. Palmieri, of Wakefield, the proprietor of Bob’s Gulf in Medford died suddenly on Saturday evening. He was 38.
Mr. Palmieri was born in Medford and raised in Wakefield, the son of Robert and Carol (Bianchino) Palmieri. After graduating high school in 1984, Robert attended Johnson and Wales University and North Shore College. Since he was a young boy, Robert worked with his father at their service station in South Medford. Robert was well known for his friendly manner and strong work ethic. During the winter months he plowed snow and was quick to give his service to those in need. An avid snowmobiler, he enjoyed many good times with family and his large circle of friends. As a father, he was always there. With his wife of 17 years, Jackie, whether on cold winter mornings at hockey rinks or the warm spring days at little league fields he proudly shared in the lives of his sons Bobby and Dan.
Robert was the beloved husband of Jackie (McGregor). He was a devoted father to Bobby and Daniel. He was the cherished son of Bob and Carol (Bianchino) Palmieri. He was a loving brother to Karen Porter. He was the dear son in-law of Peg and the late John McGregor. He was the brother in-law of Kim Garvin, John and Laurel McGregor, Bonnie MacIntosh, Pam and John Bennett and Michael McGregor. He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion Street, Wakefield, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family Wednesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
