Rodney Allen Middleton, Sr., 62 passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
Rodney was a retired Major with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, with over 28 years of service. He was a member of the FOP Lodge # 16, the Kentucky Sheriff’s Association and the National Sheriff’s Association.
He is survived by his loving wife of 16 years, Carolyn “Sue”; children, Rodney A. Middleton, Jr., David L. Middleton and Stephanie M. Middleton; step-children, Wendy M. Fruechtenicht and Timothy S. Fruechtenicht; sister, Debbie Middleton; three granddaughters; one grandson; two step-grandsons; and one great-step grandson.
His funeral will be 11:00 am Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West. Visitation will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday.
