W. L. “Dub” Bromlow, 88, of Tifton died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 13, 2015, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Joseph L. Crumley officiating. Mr. Bromlow will be laid to rest at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery in Tifton. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 12, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. The family will gather before the service at Pineview Holiness Baptist Church for lunch from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday, August 13, 2015.
Todd Bromlow, Jason Bromlow, Trampus Bromlow, Darrell Bromlow, Eric Bromlow, Joey Hullett and Kelly Turner will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Bromlow was born August 17, 1926 in Tift County and was the son of Homer Bromlow and Viola Selph Bromlow, both deceased. He was also preceded in death by his wife; Sarah “Geraldine” Fletcher Bromlow, who died January 26, 2015; one son, Tim Bromlow; two brothers; three sisters. He was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid hunter and served in World War II in the United States Army.
Mr. Bromlow is survived by three daughters and one son-in-law, Pat House, Kathy and Chuck Allen, and Bonnie Jones, all of Tifton; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Don Bromlow of Tifton, Billy Bromlow of Tifton, Ronnie and Guanice Bromlow of Chula and Randy and Frances Bromlow of Norman Park; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Sue Bromlow of Panama City, Florida; 19 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren.
