PUTNAM, CT____Louise (Bikinas) Sprindzunas, 96, of Matulaitis Nursing Home, 10 Thurber Rd., formerly of St. Petersburg Beach, Fl; and Worcester, Ma., died Monday May 2 in the home. Her husband of 45 years, Zane Sprindzunas died in 1979.
She leaves a daughter, Diane L. wife of Dick Wetherbee of Charlton, Ma; six grandchildren, Laurie, Richard, James and Robert Wetherbee and Deborah and David Sprindzunas, and nine great-grandchildren. A son, Raymond J. Sprindzunas died in 1999. She was born in Lithuania, daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Sluskis) Bikinas and later lived 40 years in Worcester and 28 years in Florida before moving to Putnam 3 years ago.
Mrs. Sprindzunas was a press operator 20 years for the former Washburn Co., and retired in 1974. She was a former member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, Worcester and its Womens Guild. Louise was educated in Lithuania.
The funeral will be held on Thursday May 12 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir Church, 41 Providence St., Worcester.
