Rose (Xavier) Baieta. Age 84. Wife of the late Manuel Baieta. Residence 16 Orlando St., Swansea, MA 02777. Died Sunday at MA General Hospital in Boston. Born in Fall River. Daughter of the late Manuel Baieta and the late Rose (Pimental) Xavier. She was a Swansea resident for 58 years. She was a retired seamstress having last worked at the Fashion Center Junior in Somerset. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
She is survived by 2 Daughters: Rose Arruda of Swansea and Donna Silvia of Swansea. 3 Brothers: Joseph, John and Louis Xavier all of Fall River. 1 Sister: Angelina Martin of Somerset. 6 Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews. Mother of the late Manuel Baieta Jr. Sister of the late Antone, James, Manuel, and Frank Xavier and the late Mary Martin.
Her funeral will take place from the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. 1521 N. Main St. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church, Brayton Ave., Somerset at 9 A.M. Internment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Swansea. Calling hours Tuesday 4-8 P.M.
