George O. “Buddy” Pratt, 79 of Derry, NH died Wednesday August 5, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Buddy was born in Westfield, MA on April 2, 1936, a son of the late Charles and Helen (Lecrenski) Pratt. Buddy served in the US Air Force during the Korean War Era. He was employed as an airline pilot for US Airways for 28 years, retiring in 1994.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Nancy (Lane) Pratt of Derry, one son, Scott A. Pratt and his wife Diane of Salem, NH, two daughters, Stacy D. Stone and her husband Bill of Salem, and Keri Lynn Barneson and her husband John of Salem, five grandchildren, Tyler, Delaney, Ella, Chloe, and Henley, two brothers, Charles Pratt, Jr. of Southwick, MA, and David Pratt of DeLand, FL, and by his sister, Athalie Sanders of Melrose, FL. He also leaves several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Pratt.
Following cremation, a celebration of Buddy’s life was held on Saturday August 15, 2015 at 11:00am in the Hampstead Congregational Church, Main St., Hampstead, NH 03841. Donations in Buddy’s memory may be made to the church.
