Dorothy Louise (Holmes) Michaud, 84, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015 peacefully in her sleep after a long illness. Born in Lynn on April 29, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Dorothy (Wallace) Holmes.
Dottie was educated in the Lynn School system and retired from the City of Salem as Head Cook for the Salem High School Lunch Program. She enjoyed bowling, traveling and keeping in touch with her family. She was a loving, caring person who reached out to help friends, neighbors and family. She was an avid animal lover and generous to many humane causes.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald (Red) Leo Michaud, her children, Ronald, Paul & Toni Michaud and Diane Kinnon. 10 grandchildren, Lenore, Kim, Charles, Paul Jr., Nicholas, Lynne, Samantha, Jonathan, Skye & Ruby; 8 great-grandchildren, a loving in-law family and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Leslie Holmes.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem. Her funeral service will be in the funeral home on Saturday, August 8th at 11:00 A.M.
