Bonita Springs, FL – Ron C. Berube, 73 of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2015 at the Frances Georgeson Hospice House in Naples, FL.
Born in Lawrence, MA on January 12, 1942, Ron was the son of Chanel and Jean (Chamberlain) Berube. He worked as a Custodian in the Lawrence school department for 23 years until his retirement. He was a basketball coach at St. Anne’s Church, Sacred Heart Church, and St. Mary’s Church all in Lawrence. In his free time, he enjoyed vacationing in Florida and at Salisbury Beach. He also enjoyed a Chamberlain tradition of Sambuca.
He is survived by his sister, Janet Richards and her husband, Roland of Methuen.
Family and friends will honor and celebrate Ron’s life by gathering for calling hours at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 4:00 PM. To 8:00 P.M. His Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Monica’s Church in Methuen on Monday, August 10th at 9:00 AM. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Andover.
The family has requested, in Ron’s honor, memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Giving Program, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
