Charles J.Consentino, Jr. 78, of Taunton formerly of Walpole, died August 2 at his home. He was the husband of Irene (Cisternelli) Consentino.
Born in Norwood, January 2, 1937, the son of the late Charles J. and Josephine (Venuti) Consentino, Mr. Consentino was raised in Norwood and had lived in Walpole for many years before moving to Taunton in 2001.
Mr. Consentino had operated Santoro’s Sandwich Shop in Norwood for several years. He had also operated his own painting company and worked in the maintenance department of the Marriott Hotel in Cambridge.
He enjoyed bowling and playing pool with his friends.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Charles J. Consentino, III and his wife Wendy of North Attleboro, David Consentino and his wife Judy of Norton, Richard Consentino and his wife Linda of Carver and Paul Consentino of North Attleboro.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Julia, Lauren, Alex, Ryan, Dominic and Micayla.
He is also the brother of Joseph Consentino and his wife Arlene of Norwood.
His funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6 in the Ginley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 892 Main Street, Walpole at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, South Walpole.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 4 -8 p.m.
