Gilford-----Ronald J. Mount, 78, died at home on Sunday, August 2, 2015 after a period of declining health.
Ronald was born on October, 25, 1936 in Hightstown, NJ the son of the late Nelson C. and Marie (Henzler) Mount. He graduated from Hightstown High School in 1955.
Ronald joined the Army Reserves in January 1954 and was honorably discharged in January 1956. He served in the United States Air Force on active duty from September 1955 to September 1959 Albrook Air Base, Panama Canal Zone.
In 1974, he married, and then he and his wife moved to Eagan, Minnesota where he worked at Unisys Corporation. He retired from Unisys in1998 and moved to New Hampshire to be closer to his family.
Ronald passions were just being outdoors, working in his garden, watching old movies and skiing with his harem at Gunstock. He loved football and was a devoted Vikings fan until he moved to NH and the Patriots won him over. Ronald will be missed by all who knew him. He will be especially be missed for his wry sense of humor.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Marilyn J. Mount, of Gilford; a brother, Nelson C. Mount, Jr. of Vero Beach ,FL; a sister, Marilyn J. Mount-Hunter of Fairbanks, AK; two nieces, Deborah Mount McCrohan, of Trenton, NJ and Brenda Mount, of Key West, FL; a nephew, Nelson C. Mount, III of Cranbury, NJ and four grand nieces and nephews.
A calling hour will be held from 6:30pm – 7:30pm on Thursday, August, 6, 2015 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH using the Carriage House entrance. A time of sharing will be at 7:30pm.
Burial will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown, NJ.
