Clifford E. Hinst, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Dorminy Medical Center, Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Graveside services will be at held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 7 2005, at Evergreen Cemetery, with Rev. Nancy Mills officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from noon until 1:30 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hinst was born June 13, 1916, in Denver, Colorado, to the late Fred M. and Margaret Boehm Hinst. He was a 1933 graduate of North High School in Denver, Colorado. After graduating he worked as a Taxidermist. Mr. Hinst retired to Fitzgerald in 1978 and was a former resident of DeLand, Florida, where he worked as a Realtor and General Contractor. Mr. Hinst worked with A.E. Hinson Printing, Machine & Supply in Denver, Colorado for seventeen years and he opened a branch in Salt Lake City, Utah, holding the position of Vice-President and General Manager. He was a member of the First Families Of Georgia and the Colony City Horseshoe Club, a former member of the Lion’s Club and the Election Board, both in Deland, Fl. Mr. Hinst was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Fitzgerald.
Mr. Hinst is survived by his wife: Jerry E. Hinst of Fitzgerald; son and daughter-in-law: Col. Steven W. and Virginia Hinst of Altamonte Springs, FL; three grandchildren: Lori S. Foster, James P. Hinst and Mari Hinst; six great-grandchildren; brother: Robert F. Hinst of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. Hinst.
