LOWELL-Lorraine A. “Pee Wee” (Rioux) Petullo, 82, a lifelong resident of Greater Lowell, died Thursday morning at her son’s home in Seabrook, N.H. following a brief illness. She was the widow of the late Joseph Petullo who died in 1998.
Born in Westford, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Boudreau) Rioux, and was educated in the Westford schools.
Many years ago, Mrs. Petullo worked in various mills in the Lowell area. She also worked for the City of Lowell as a Teacher’s Aide at the Colburn School. Mrs. Petullo was a communicant of the former Sacred Heart Church . She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter in law, Gary J. and his wife Debra Petullo of Seabrook, N.H. and Donald Petullo of Lowell; seven grandchildren, Douglas, Daniel, Jacqueline, Keisha and Tracy Petullo, Coleen and Heather Doherty; three sisters, Charlotte Perocchi of Lawrence, Marie Geary of Nashua, N.H. and Patricia Ralls of North Chelmsford and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday evening at 6:00 pm at the MAHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 187 NESMITH ST.(RTE. 38) LOWELL. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 5:00 until the service at 6:00. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, Memorial Giving Program, 30 Speen St.,Framingham, MA. 01701-9376.
