Shirley J. Prue, 88, of Sweet Road, Smithfield, died Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.
Born in Lawrence, MA, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Margaret E. (Milner) Jagger. She had lived in Smithfield for 64 years.
She was a graduate of Colby College, Class of 1948 and a member of the Smithfield Senior Center Bocce club.
She is survived by her daughters: Lisa King and her husband, Thomas of Eldorado Hills, CA, Laurie Hammontree and Jason Hughes of Westport, MA, Meredith Daniels and her husband Bryan of North Providence and Anne Nobrega and Albert Cambio, Jr. of Smithfield, her grandchildren Beth Mathews and her husband, Cliff, Darrell Nobrega and his wife, Bailey, and Kristen and Nicholas Nobrega, Bryan, Zachary and Allison Daniels, Ian and Leigh Hammontree, her great grandchildren: Oliver Nobrega and Andrew Hammontree and her brother, George J. Jagger of New London, CT. She was the mother of the late Peter J. Prue.
Visitation will be held Wedsneday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Funeral and burial are private. In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 1153 Centre Street, Boston, MA 02130
