Elinor L. Barra, age 79, of Woburn for over forty years formerly of Dorchester, past away May first at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Fred A. Barra. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Mary E. (Hickey) and Walter F. Barrett.
Elinor was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her family especially her grandchildren. Elinor was a very generous person and loved to be around her family and friends. Memorial contributions may be made in Elinor´s memory to the charity of your choice.
Elinor is survived by her daughter Deborah Cogan of Woburn and her son Frederick Barra and his wife Alice of Buxton, ME. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Amy Cogan and Robert Cogan Jr.
Her funeral will be from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn Wednesday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Anthony Church 851 Main St. Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn
