Raymond M. Sheehan
...former newspaper pressman; age 69
ORLANDO, FL - Raymond M. Sheehan, age 69, a former newspaper pressman with family ties
throughout the greater Boston area, died Sunday, May 1, at the Crossroads Rehabilitation and
Elder Care Center in Davenport, FL, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Cambridge, October 30, 1935, a son of the late Warren and Gladys (Sheehan)
Sheehan. He lived his entire life in the greater Boston area, until his retirement. Since 1995, he
had divided his residences between the Orlando,FL area and Wentworth, NH area.
He worked as a pressman for the Boston Globe for 43 years.
He served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth A. (Taylor) Sheehan of Nashua; five children, Kathleen of
Vermont, Margaret Thompson of of Wentworth, NH, Elizabeth A. Sheehan of Cape Cod, Sean
Patrick Sheehan and John Sheehan both of Taunton; four brothers; Warren and his wife Audrey
Sheehan of Portsmouth, NH, James Sheehan of Sharon, VT, Richard and his wife Lois Sheehan
of Tewksbury, Kevin and his wife Beth Sheehan of Tilton, NH; eight grandchildren; an uncle, Joseph L. Sheehan of Wells, ME; and many
nieces and nephews.
He was also father of the late Raymond Michael Sheehan, brother of the late Robert Sheehan,
Mary E. Wolfe and grandfather of the late Emily Thompson.
A Memorial was held Saturday evening, May 14, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 101A First Ave,
Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451-4990 will be appreciated.
