Obituary

Clemens L. "Clem" Shocik, 74, of 160 Willow Hill Road in the
Cherry Valley section of Leicester died Saturday April 30 in his home after
being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 50 years Rena D. (Martin) Shocik, three sons Michael
C. Shocik of Brimfield, John E. Shocik of Cherry Valley and Edward A. Shocik
of Palm Bay, FL, a daughter Vickie A. Watt of Spencer, three sisters
Stephanie Berryman of Auburn, Marien Chartier of Grafton and Evelyn Saari of
Merrimack, NH, 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Shocik was born in Worcester son of Louis E. and Amelia M. (Burdzel)
Shocik. He owned and operated Clem's Restaurant in Hubbardston for several
years before retiring. He served in the United States Marines during the
Korean Conflict. He was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Knight's of
Columbus, Worcester Elks Lodge 243 and a 50 year member of the Cherry Valley
American Legion post 143. He enjoyed coin collecting, metal detecting,
hunting and was an avid Red Sox fan.
The funeral will be Tuesday, May 3 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131
Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, 759 Main St.,
Leicester. Burial will be in Cherry Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be
Monday, May 2 from 5:00-8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers
donations may be made to Leicester Ambulance Fund, 3 Washburn Square,
Leicester, MA 01524
