Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church at 9am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Geraldine F. (Hughes) Clark, 87 years, died Friday afternoon at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after a period of failing health. Born in Boston, daughter of the late Frank E. and Mary (Burns) Hughes, she was raised in Brockton and Norton, attended Brockton schools and was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1937. She was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Church, an avid reader, Red Sox fan, enjoyed knitting and spending time with her grandchildren. In her youth she was a ballet and tap dancer and modeled clothing for local businesses.
She is survived by three daughters Rosanne Carney and her husband Charles of Brockton, Kathleen Dearn and her husband John of Braintree, Mary Ellen Doherty and her husband Ed of Brockton, one son Robert J. Clark and his wife Arlene of Middleboro; eight grandchildren Scott Carney, Bridget Raithel, Kerry Bresnahan, Kara Brewster, Shawn Doherty, Michael Dearn, Dennis Umbrello and Liana Doherty, 10 great grandchildren, and 12 nieces and nephews. She was the wife of the late Brockton Patrolman, Ralph J. Clark, and cousin of the late Geraldine Walker and Robert Burke
