PORTLAND- Deborah Ann Brokofsky, age 63, passed away on July 19, 2015 in the comfort of her home.
She was born on December 6, 1951, a daughter of the late Hugh and Margaret (O'Brien) Ripper.
Deborah grew up in Connecticut and graduated from the University of Connecticut.
She worked as a horticulturist and then went on to work as a teacher and reading specialist for students with dyslexia.
She is predeceased by her brothers- Michael and James Ripper.
Deborah is survived by her beloved husband- Peter Brokofsky; sons- Jacob Brokofsky and his wife Sarah of Portland and Eric Brokofsky of Portland; brother- John Ripper and his wife Lynne of VA; and a sister- Kay Brooks and her husband Robert of Bridgton.
A memorial service will be held this coming Saturday morning, July 25, at 10 AM at the First Congregational Church of Buxton (Tory Hill) 1197 River Road, Buxton. Burial will follow at Sebago Lake Cemetery in Standish. Pastor Allison Flaherty will officiate.
