Obituary

Henry W. "Babe" Sauvageau, Jr., 90, formerly of 28 Clark St.., died
Friday, April 29 at Christopher House in Worcester.
He leaves his wife of 68 years, Helen M. (Lapierre) Sauvageau, three sons
Paul H. Sauvageau and Pierre G. Sauvageau both of Spencer, and Philip J.
Sauvageau of Gardner, two daughters Pauline M. Gallant of Worcester and
Priscilla A. Burke of Spencer, a sister Therese Dhembe of Sturbridge, 11
grand and 7 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a
grandson Ronald Sauvageau and two brothers Wilfred and Normand Sauvageau.
Mr. Sauvageau worked at American Steel & Wire and also Hardy Knife Co. in
Worcester before retiring in 1977.
Born in Holyoke, he was the son of Henry W. and Marie (Normand) Sauvageau,
Sr. and lived here most of his life.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church, its Sacred Heart League, a former
Eucharistic Minister and Acolite. He was a former member of the Spencer
Golden Age Club.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 3 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL
HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Church,
60 Maple St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Mary,Queen of the Rosary
Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are Monday, May 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial
donations may be made to either the Patient Activity Fund c/o Christopher
House, 10 Mary Scano Dr., Worcester, 01605 or Mary,Queen of the Rosary
Memorial Fund, 60 Maple St., Spencer, Ma. 01562.
