Elsie Ratliff, 82, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Tift Regional Medical Center, Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be at held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 1, 2005, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, with Rev. Gerald Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. Visitation will be held from 7:00 until 9:00, Saturday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Ratliff was born July 3, 1922, in Atkinson County, Georgia, to the late Albert and Annie Thomas Kirkland. She lived in Ocilla for the past four years and was a former resident of Fitzgerald and Macon. Mrs. Ratliff was a former employee of Davis Brothers Hotel Corporation and Holiday Inn. She was a member of the Ocilla Baptist Church, a former member and Training Union Leader at Arbor Baptist Church in Fitzgerald and a former member of Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon. Mrs. Ratliff was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order Of The Eastern Star, Ada Chapter of Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Ratliff is survived by her son and daughter: Raymond Wall, Jr. of Leesburg, GA and Ann McMillan of Ocilla; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a brother: Johnny Kirkland of Jacksonville, FL. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Wall, Sr. and Barney B. Ratliff, three brothers and two sisters.
