Obituary

Claire B. (Lussier) Lajoie,88, of 778 Main St., died Wednesday
April 27 at Hermitage Nursing Home in Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 66 years Napoleon P. Lajoie, a son Philip R.
Lajoie of Fabyan, Ct., two daughters Anita L. Lajoie of Sunderlind, and
Judith S. wife of Robert Walls of Spencer, three brothers Raymond Lussier of
Grafton, Eugene Lussier of Saco, Me. and Roger Lussier of Boston, four
sisters Therese Anderson, Muriel Perra, and Constance O'Toole all of Spencer
and Jeannette Dailida of Worcester, 9 grand, 10 great grandchildren, nieces
and nephews. A daughter Jeanne A. Lajoie died in 2001.
Mrs. Lajoie was a key punch operator for the U.S. Pentagon (Naval
Intelligence Div.)in Va., before retiring in 1964.
Born in Worcester, she was the daughter of Eugene J. and Doria
(Bourgeois)Lussier.
She graduated from Commerce High in Worcester, and was a longtime volunteer
for the St. Vincent de Paul visiting shut ins, as well as a volunteer for
Campus Ministries at Worcester State College and its Alumni Assoc. She was a
member of St. Joseph's Church.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 29 from the MORRISON-MORIN FUNERAL
HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's
Church, 759 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery,
Worcester. A calling hour will be held Friday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St.,
Framingham, 01701.
