Worcester- Donald E. Starbard, Jr., 55, of 29 Stoneham Rd., died Wednesday, April 27, in Veterans Administration Hospital, West Roxbury.
He leaves four sons, Donald E. Starbard III of Tenn., Brett V. Starbard, Matthew J. Starbard, and Andrew J. Starbard, all of Worcester; his mother, Rosalind M. (Costello) Starbard of Worcester; three brothers, Richard D. Starbard, Dennis C. Starbard, and Mitchell J. Starbard, all of Worcester; two sisters, Rosalind M. Miano of Athol and Donna M. Field of Lynn; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his father, Donald E. Starbard, Sr. and his brother, Gary B. Starbard. He was born in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School.
Mr. Starbard was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Harold N. Keith Post 204, West Boylston.
The funeral will be held Friday, April 29, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a service at 9 a.m. in St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 695 Southbridge St. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Spencer. Calling hours are from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in the funeral home.
